At Wow Candles to we do not list the fragrance descriptions of our candle scents. Due to the subjectivity of the sense of smell, We understand that this might be difficult to determine if a particular scent is what you desire, however many of our candle fragrances are self-explanatory, such as Apples, Wild Cherry, etc. While we could easily name abstract fragrances we have discovered that this often misleads and lets down purchasers who imagine our scents differently. We also realize that many scent names of our candle scents have no descriptive nature to them, but we do not want to mislead our potential customers with opinionated descriptions. Phthalates, or phthalate esters, are esters of Phthalic acid. They are used to dissolve fragrance raw materials when making fragrance oils.They have been used for many decades in a myriad of pharmaceuticals, household and industrial products. Recently, there have been concerns that high levels of Phthalates can cause a host of health issues. It is not clear that the levels that people encounter cause adverse effects, but it is clear to us that products would be better if they didn’t pose any such risks. While both the U.S. and Europe have imposed laws against Phthalates in children’s toys (since they are put in the mouth) there are no rules against Phthalates in candles. Nevertheless, Many of our oils are Phthalate free. Our Scent does not contain any alcohol like you will find in the cheaper brands. It is 100% alcohol-free. Many other brands will dilute their oil with alcohol so it is cheaper to produce.
